My Approach
I practise psychodynamic psychotherapy, which focuses on how past experiences and unconscious processes influence the way we think, feel, and relate in the present. Often, patterns formed in early life continue to shape our relationships and sense of self in ways that are not always fully conscious. By exploring these dynamics together, therapy can help you gain deeper understanding, shift unhelpful patterns, and find new ways of being.
Therapy with me provides a confidential, consistent, and non-judgemental space. I work collaboratively and thoughtfully, allowing you to bring whatever feels important at your own pace. Depending on your needs, I offer both open-ended psychotherapy and short-term psychotherapy.
Who I Work With
I work with adults (18+) from a wide range of backgrounds and professions. People come to therapy with me for many reasons, including:
- Anxiety and panic attacks
- Depression or low mood
- Suicidal thoughts
- Relationship and family difficulties
- Low self-esteem and lack of confidence
- Stress at work or study
- Life transitions and uncertainty
- Loss, grief, or bereavement
- Questions of identity, belonging, or culture
Some clients come with a clear issue in mind; others arrive with a general sense that something feels wrong or 'stuck.' Both are valid starting points.
I practise in both English and German.
